Lana Watson, Director of Rehabilitation

Lana Watson, MHS, OTR/L, is the director of rehabilitation for UF Health Rehab Hospital. She leads the rehabilitation department overseeing physical, occupational, speech-language pathology and recreation therapy services. Lana also oversees the specialty brain and spinal cord injury, stroke and amputee program teams.

She is also a CARF surveyor with experience in spinal cord, brain injury and stroke surveys. Lana has a strong educational focus, having taught in the occupational therapy (OT) at the University of Florida and establishing the first occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program in Jacksonville, FL. She is an advocate for advanced certification for clinicians, assuring we have a high level of expertise in geriatrics, neurology and brain injury.

Lana previously worked as a clinical occupational therapist in the areas of long- and short-term mental health as well as outpatient rehabilitation.

Lana earned masters and bachelor’s degrees in occupational therapy undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Florida.
